Tyneside Cargo Creative agency creates new jobs after strong demand


A Tyneside creative agency is on track for record sales after seeing an increase in new work.

North Shields-based Cargo Creative is on track to exceed its revenue target by more than 70%, after expanding its team to meet customer demand.

Company founder Paul Hart said Cargo Creative has thrived over the past 12 months despite the market shutdown last summer, earning it £ 500,000 for the first time in 11 years of history.

Mr Hart said the growth was due to his resilient and loyal team and diverse client portfolio, also explaining how he managed to create three new jobs to bring the workforce to 12.

He said: “We never wanted to specialize in a certain sector. The whole team comes from a variety of backgrounds and industries, so we wanted to use all of their experience rather than looking for one. This helped tremendously during the pandemic, as we weren’t faced with multiple customers needing to downsize – they needed our support instead.

“We have seen an increase in the number of new jobs at a range of companies both in and outside the region, as well as working with several health and lifestyle companies in the United States,” which are new areas in which we must sink our teeth.

“In addition, in order to meet the needs of our clients, we have expanded our team to offer a full range of services ranging from branding, digital design and development and online marketing to ensure they are fully supported on an ongoing basis. This further strengthens our long-standing relationships with our customers.

“Some of our team have been with us since we started over ten years ago and it is undoubtedly through their loyalty and relationship with clients that we have not only survived but thrived in these times. unprecedented. “

The digital, design and online marketing agency now works with brands such as Ward Hadaway, Filtronic, Perspective Financial Group and Northern Powergrid.

Mr Hart added: ‘Our goal for the next three years is to achieve annual turnover of £ 1million, but to keep our team together.

“It has never been an ambition to employ more than 100 people, we love the family atmosphere that comes with a smaller team and our clients also appreciate having this one point of contact who is extremely talented and capable. “
