Prince William County Economic Development Wins Four IEDC Awards



NASHVILLE, Tennessee – (COMMERCIAL THREAD) – The programs and partnerships of the Prince William County Department of Economic Development were recognized in the 2021 Awards of Excellence from the International Economic Development Council (IEDC), which were announced earlier today at the conference organization’s annual meeting in Nashville, Tennessee.

The IEDC is the largest nonprofit association for professional business developers in the world, and these awards recognize the world’s best business development programs and partnerships, marketers and most influential leaders of the year. 25 award categories honor organizations and individuals for their efforts in creating positive change in urban, suburban and rural communities.

“This incredible recognition from our industry peers is gratifying and motivating,” said Christina Winn, Executive Director of PWCDED. “As our team continues to create opportunities for Prince William County on the global economic stage, these awards reflect their dedication and persistence. For the population size between 200,000 and 500,000, PWCDED has won the following awards for economic excellence:

The IEDC received more than 500 submissions from four countries. The awards are judged by a diverse panel of business and community developers from around the world, following a nomination process held earlier this year.
