MeLinda Horrell – Missouri Media Lawyers
Legal Marketing: Head of Digital Marketing, Finney Injury Law
MeLinda Horrell manages all marketing and communications for Finney Injury Law in St. Louis, working daily on branding, messaging and relationship building with clients, lawyers and the community.
Horrell had previously worked in marketing in industries ranging from education to catering before entering the legal community in 2019. She graduated from Webster University in Public Relations in 2008.

What were your main accomplishments in this role?
In 2020, our firm felt that we could do more to support our community. I have developed an academic scholarship for students from underrepresented communities in the legal profession to help them achieve their educational goals. Last year we awarded over $ 17,000 in scholarships to deserving and law students.
What made you choose a career in the legal field?
I choose to use my talents to help others. Working as a marketing professional in the legal industry allows me to do this.
What is the best part of your job?
Every day I feel lucky to work with such talented people who encourage me to learn, grow and try new ideas, regardless of the outcome. Everyone here really has a passion for helping others. I feel grateful to be a part of it.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
It doesn’t matter if your 5 or 10 year plan doesn’t go as planned. Life has a way of putting you where you need to be right now and at that time.
What would surprise people about you?
I dreamed of becoming Radio City Rockette when I was young.
