Responsibilities

Brand value: Finance

  • Build and develop sustainable brands generating profitable sales and growth
  • Growth in turnover, EBIT% and ZAR, profit margin,% and ZAR
  • Achieve required ROI – (All media and marketing plans, digital channel development, events, sponsorships)
  • Growing market share

Brand positioning

  • Build organizational sustainability through brand specific innovation and customer centric approach
  • Customer growth through understanding the customer audiences of multiple brands and personalized, user-friendly loyalty programs
  • Provide analytics and recommendations on customer engagement / satisfaction to drive innovation and change
  • Provide evidence-based solutions that focus on customer experience, growth and retention
  • Execute a media plan that increases the share of voice and differentiates the different brands from competitors in similar markets

Brand strategy and plan development

  • Develop and manage strategy execution and lead the entire marketing function to achieve organizational growth plans
  • Ensure the execution of brand strategies by brand managers
  • Build and maintain an innovative and easy to use market platform that focuses on customer experience, growth and retention
  • Develop a solid media plan that increases the share of voice and differentiates the different brands from competitors in similar markets
  • Develop and execute a brand sponsorship strategy through events and sponsorships that meet organizational growth plans

Brand governance

  • Develop and ensure the implementation of marketing control and governance systems relating to policies, business processes and management processes
  • Member of EXCO / Chairman of the Marketing Review Committee / Member of the IT Steering Committee / Transformation and Social and Ethics Committee and Corporate Foundation (Founding Director)
  • Organizational representation regarding GDPR / POPI standards / SA advertising

Brand execution: people, growth and development

  • Instill a culture of performance, learning and development, by creating a strong, proactive and agile team that implements organizational strategies
  • Clarify and define the individual and team expectations that determine the attention to detail and delivery of the execution of marketing plans

  • Higher diploma (3 years or more) and 10 to 15 years of experience
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and modern marketing platforms)

  • Use of technology (Zoom, MS Teams, Magnetic, Monday.com etc.)
  • Analysis and resolution of business intelligence problems
