The great Kansas City Public Relations Society of America Chapter established its advisory committee for the Inez Y. Kaiser GKC-PRSA Memorial Scholarship Fund. Fund co-founder and former chair, Lea-Ann Germinder, will assume the chair and Kaiser’s son, Rick Kaiser, will serve as vice-chair. The fund was established to honor Inez Kaiser, who was the first black woman to start a national public relations company with domestic clients as well as the first black woman to join the Kansas City Chamber of Commerce. The first scholarships of $ 2,500 each will be announced at the GKC-PRSA Prism Awards on October 21. Fundraising has started and a scholarship portal will open on June 1.
